Project's objectives

Project's objectives:

The IDENTITY Project is guided by five interlinked objectives that reflect the core mission of the EU’s CERV programme. First, it aims to celebrate cultural diversity, recognizing Europe’s pluralism not as a challenge, but as a foundation of unity. Through performance and cultural storytelling, the project encourages participants to explore shared values while honoring local identities.

Second, the project is committed to empowering youth participation, placing young citizens at the forefront of civic dialogue and democratic action. Special attention is given to those from underrepresented or socially excluded backgrounds, offering them platforms to lead and engage.

Third, IDENTITY seeks to strengthen town-twinning partnerships, building bridges between municipalities and facilitating community-level exchange. By reinforcing these connections, the project contributes to mutual understanding and long-term collaboration.

Fourth, it seeks to elevate underrepresented voices, using creative methods such as street plays and heritage-based storytelling to foreground the experiences of minority communities and amplify narratives of inclusion.

Lastly, the project emphasizes deepening grassroots democracy, ensuring that local engagement becomes the engine of broader democratic participation. Through forums, debates, and public events, the project transforms dialogue into action, connecting citizens directly to European democratic values.
